Who Should Attend: This 2 day course is aimed specifically at the people who are responsible for designing CRFs.
Pre-requisites: None.
Course Objectives: At the end of this course the user will be able to confidently begin creating and modifying CRF pages with Adobe FrameMaker.
Course Content Getting Started: Overview of FrameMaker, navigation techniques, keyboard shortcuts, setting preferences, output to PDF, using find and change, running the spelling checker.
Working with Text Styles: Learn how to apply both paragraph and character styles to text to ensure consistent formatting throughout a CRF.
Tables: Inserting and manipulating Tables. Applying text and table styles. Adjusting the table size.
Creating and Modifying Styles: Learn how to create and modify Character, Paragraph and Table styles. Appreciate the strength of FrameMaker by importing and updating formats across files.
Graphics: Creating simple line art with FrameMaker’s graphic drawing tools. Create text anchored graphics by inserting and manipulating anchored frames.
Page Layout: Create, Modify and Apply Master Pages to control a document’s layout. Set-up headers and footers.
Reference Pages: Use the reference pages to create referenced art which is linked to a Paragraph Format.
Variables: Use variables to create dictionary style headers and footers.
Book Building: Create a book to hold the individual CRF pages.
